Film Bio

Devin Anderson has studied film history, mis-en-scene and production with Professor Robert Winters and attended the 40-week Total Immersion program at The Seattle Film Institute, focusing on all aspects of pre-production, production and post production, including (but not limited to) Art Direction, Production Design and Management, Budgeting and Scheduling, 1st and 2nd Assistant Direction, Direction, Cinematography, and Sound as well as Editing on Super 8, 16mm and Digital formats. During this time he studied under experienced film veterans such as Christopher Mosio (frequent director for VH-1's Behind the music, camera and 2nd DP for the recent film 'Akeela the Bee'), and Kevin Tomlinson, a former production manager for such programs as 60 Minutes, Dateline NBC and The Today Show.

Devin has taken many odd jobs and filled various shoes, most recently working as Grip on Antony DeGennaro's film 'Natural Possession'. Devin worked closely with Lead Gaffer Jack Bennett and ADs Timothy Boyd and Palmer Avery to help achieve a full realized lighting scheme in a very short time frame. Devin was a camera operator and gaffer for a featurette that will appear on Timothy Boyd's 'Uniforms' dvd release, and he also assisted Director Drew Dawson with the filming and sound work on a promotional video for Harwood Marketing. His directorial debut (currently untitled) is being produced by award-wining physicist and former CIA member Leigh Matheson in tandem with his colleagues at HD Cinema.
